L’abisso (Abyss) är en angelägen, aktuell och djuplodande berättelse som belyser de obeskrivliga tragedier som utspelar sig kring flyktingbåtarna längs Medelhavskusten. Monologen är ett epos om vardagens hjältar och en berättelse om liv och död som blir till en metafor för ett individuellt så väl som kollektivt skeppsbrott.
”När jag såg de första båtarna anlända till Lampedusa var jag tillsammans med min far.”, skriver Davide Enia, ”Det var så många ungdomar och barn som kom i land.
